Meanwhile, in Wainuiomata

A lot has been going on behind the scenes lately so it has appeared that not much has happened with the Wainuiomata Trail Project. The Labyrinth Extension has now been completed, hopefully you would have ridden it by now. For those who haven't, it's a short inter-connecting trail between the pylon road at the end of Labyrinth and Spoon Hill/491. The trail needs some bedding in so get out into the weather and ride!

Construction has been going on the past two weekends on 491. Construction of the feature on the first right hander has begun and should be completed by Paul this week, ready for riding in the weekend. Problematic sections where mud was an issue have also been looked at and slightly modified. Around this time of the year, it's a good time to take a look at trails to identify areas of high weathering and wear.

Make sure you get out on the trails, enjoy the ride and if there is something you'd like to see in the park don't forget to comment on this blog or the vorb forum thread.
